Sweetpea passed away suddenly. She will be sadly missed by Blue and her foster mom, Rainey.
Minnie was a beautiful girl and will be sadly missed by the Cook family.
Beautiful little Rosie passed away suddenly. Not sure on her age nor the type of life she had before coming to us, but we know that she had a few months of happy and healthy home.
Our sweet old Lemmie passed away. Lemmie came to us a few months ago. He had been in the same home for his whole life of 22 years. Fed mainly seed his whole life and never really handled, he was eating better and was even letting his foster mom hold him. This old soul will be missed.
When I think of the Angels singing I will now hear Shy’s sweet little chirp. Even with the tough life Shy had in the past in the end she knew love. Our days are just not going to be the same without the sounds of her beautiful songs and sweet personality to bless our home. We are honored to have been able to show shy the love and care she deserved.
March you will truly be missed. Our rescue team received an email a few months before March’s surrender. This email stated that due to life changes, the owner needed to surrender several birds (including March and his brother, both 20 years of age). The owner had a sudden change of heart and wanted to keep all of her birds. Then, a month before the surrender , we received another email from the same owner who was ready to surrender. When arriving at the residence we were informed that March’s brother had sadly passed away. CWA received March and two other birds who thrived in foster care. March was such a love bug and when he was out of quarantine, he had quickly found his forever home. A few days before this 20 year old cockatiel was headed to his forever home, he became extremely ill. CWA rushed him several hours away to an emergency veterinarian who determined March was quickly dying of cancer, in pain, and suffering. The Veterinarian advised that we end March’s pain and have him put to sleep. March will be incredibly missed and loved. Fly high over that Rainbow bridge little buddy.
