Adopted

Trixie, Pixie, and Ripple have waited a very long time to find their forever home. It’s sometimes quiet difficult to place three birds in one home, but very necessary when they are bonded. Congratulations to these three and the McGeary Boys!!

Buddy has officially found his forever home. Buddy has had a long journey here at the rescue, but we couldn’t be more pleased to announce that he has found a family of his own. Buddy is a typical too. He can be extremely loud and attached to one person. He is now in a home where he is the only bird in the house and he is loving every minute of it. Congratulations to Buddy and the Arhndt family!

Peach has been adopted! This sweet Goffins Too was surrendered to CWA from a loving home that couldn’t prevent Peach from self mutilation. When we took Peach in, his mutilation was extreme and he underwent emergency surgery at Parish Creek with Board Certified Avian Vet, Dr. Echols. After several therapies and follow ups , Peach stop mutilating. The Young family were his fosters and were with Peach during this entire rehabilitation process. We are extremely happy to announce that they have chosen to adopt him. Congratulations Peach!!!

Sonny and Cher have been adopted !!!!! These two were rescued during Operation Treasured Angels. These Derbyans came into rescue with no names. They can be officially filed in the foster fail category . Their second foster home decided to adopt them and we could not be more excited to make this adoption announcement. Congrats to Tami Villa-Schwartz and Martin Schwartz!!!

Duley has been adopted by the Cook family. This sweet old English Budgie was surrendered by a lady selling some parrot cages. He had a rough start in the rescue because of his age, but under close eye and vet care, he regained strength. His foster family decided that they didn’t want to chance another move for this little guy and they had fallen in love so they chose to adopt. What a perfect beginning for him. Congratulations !!!

Bob been adopted by Heidi and her family. Bob was surrendered to CWA only a short time ago by a lady who could no longer care for her due to health problems. Sometimes CWA has birds in Foster care for a year or more and other times once they are cleared by our vets and out of quarantine, their fosters or waiting approved adopters, adopt right away. Bob was only a rescue bird for a short time and we could not be more thrilled for her new beginning. Congratulations!!!!!

Angel has found his forever home !!!! Angel was surrendered to CWA with a couple other birds from one home who could no longer care for them. He is a 30+ year old U2 that is now a foster fail 🙂. Katrina and her family became CWA fosters and fell in love with this sweet boy. Thank you so much and congratulations !

Our last G2 from OTA has been adopted. Sugar has found her forever home with Lucretia. Sugar is not very tame, but has a wonderful new momma who is building trust slowly. Congratulations!!

Salsa was rescued from the hoarding rescue, Operation Treasured Angels. Unfortunately, after being cleared by our vets and finishing quarantine, Salsa had to undergo emergency surgery for an impacted crop. Thankfully, The Parrot Posse helped CWA pay for this costly surgery, but the recovery made Salsa unavailable for quite some time. Luckily Salsa’s foster mom decided to adopt. Congratulations Salsa and Wendy.

Two more of our wild IRNS rescued during OTA have found forever homes. Handsome and Gracie have been adopted by Gina. We feel extremely blessed to have adopters that are willing to take in wild birds, work with them, spoil them, give them space if needed, and just love them for who they are. Congratulations!!!

Camelot has found his forever home with Dennis and Debbie. We are so happy this sweet Zon has such amazing new parronts. Congratulations everyone !!!

Griff has found his forever home. Griff spent almost a year in Foster care before he found his forever home. There is absolutely nothing better than an adopter pre ordering a stainless A&E cage with toys before arriving. Congratulations!

Skye has been adopted! Sky was one of nine wild IRNS rescued during O.T.A. CWA’S treasurer Lisa Norris has graciously opened up her heart and home to this little girl for the rest of her life.

We took in several birds that were wild and were never named. Nine ringneck parakeets without names were rescued, and among them were two beautiful green keets. Their foster named them Rey and BB8. Both have officially been adopted by Cassie and her sweet family. God bless you. Thank you for choosing to adopt and not shop.

Scarlett has found her forever home with the Stephen’s family. Scarlett was one of several birds recently surrendered to CWA. Scarlett is so very lucky to have such an amazing new home. Congratulations!!!

Amber, Jacob, and Noah adopted Luigi! This little green cheek has been in Foster care for nearly a year. Luigi was one of several dozens of birds we rescued from a hoarding situation last year. His adoption was sponsored by an angel who wants to dedicate the adoption to the memory of Minnie

Jasper has found his happily ever after with the Cook family. This sweet Zon has only been with CWA a short time and we are happy to announce that he is a foster fail. Congratulations Jasper and the Cook family.

Cupid has found his forever home. Cupid was rescued along with 40+ birds from a hoard last year. Cupid was bonded with his cage mate Rosie who passed away in foster care. We received a call of another tiel who lost her cage mate. After placing Cupid’s cage next to this tiels cage and slowly transitioning the two tiels to see if they would get along, we are pleased to announce that it’s a match made in heaven. Cupid is now the star of a local nursing home. The residents say that they love listening to him sing and whistle all day. Congratulations!!!

After over a year in Foster care, Marble has officially been adopted!!!! We are so excited to announce that CWA adopter Heidi has opened her home and her heart to Marble. This is another adoption sponsored by CWA member Tiffany Lindsey. God bless your giving heart! Congratulations to all.

Mikey has officially been adopted. Mikey was surrendered from a very loving home. His cage mate passed shortly after he came to our rescue ( he was 22 years old). We were very pleased when we received an application for someone looking for a friend for their tiel. Congratulations Rachael!! This was yet another adoption that was simply meant to be.

Lulu has found her forever home ! This beautiful ekkie was adopted by Russ and Rhonda and we could not be more thrilled. Wishing you all a long, happy life together. Congratulations!

Adoption Announcement- Peach , Mango, and Angel have found their forever home . These three little cuties came from the rescue CWA performed earlier this year , Operation Treasured Angels. Finding a single home for three birds can be a challenge, but the perfect adopter finally came into their lives. CWA is so grateful to Rose for adopting these three sweeties. We would like to extend a huge thank you to CWA adopter Tiffany Lindsey for sponsoring this adoption . God bless you both !

Cody wasn’t with us long before Valjean Frazier knew he was for them. Cody is doing great and we couldn’t be happier for them! Congratulations!

Sammie came to us in the large surrender. She has a partially burned face from what we believe was a steamer. After a short foster period with our board member, Susie, she found her forever home with the Stanhope’s. Congratulations Sammie and the Stanhope’s!

Our very own Cassinova has finally found his forever home with Diana! We could not be more proud to make this announcement. Nova was surrendered to CWA with the name of “Bird.” He was the only cockatoo that we have ever rescued without any powder in his feathers. Cockatoos are powdered birds, and Nova was stripped of his ability to produce his natural powder, due to living in a filthy environment. Nova was completely covered in grease and his feathers were a yellow – brown color upon rescue. His diet used to consist of mainly cheese and seeds. Nova loves his pellets and chop now. Thankfully , CWA works with some of the best board certified avian vets in the world, and with amazing support from wonderful organizations who support our cause. ” Bird” was quickly given the name Nova for his loving nature. Nova has waited almost a year to be completely rehabilitated and find a forever home, and he finally has the perfect family to call his own. Congratulations Nova !!!! We love you buddy

CWA could not be more thrilled to make this announcement. Titan has officially been adopted. When we received the call to rescue both Titan and Minnie from out of state, we sprung into action. It took literally a small village to make this rescue happen. Titan and Minnie both came to the rescue very loving and hormonal. Thankfully, Rebecca and her family found CWA through references. After they passed the application process and a home check ,it was absolutely fate. Titan is so spoiled and loved. You may have seen Titan the Amazing at the local Stoc Doc Veterinarian Clinic where he welcomes all the patients and visitors. Congratulations Rebecca and family. We wish you the best in all your future endeavors.

Sweet Roxie has found her forever home with Forrest and Katrina’s family. Roxie was one of the Goffins rescued from the hoard CWA rescued late last year – Operation Treasured Angels.
